Montreal, December 9, 2020<\/strong> \u2013 The 29th edition of the National Bank Scholarship Program holds special significance this year due to the exceptional global health circumstances. The Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) is very proud to have the support of National Bank, its major and long-standing partner, in awarding a total of 126,000 $ in individual scholarships to 37 student-athletes.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
During a live event on its Facebook page, the FAEQ awarded individual scholarships of 2,000 $ or 4,000 $ to student-athletes in the Rel\u00e8ve, Elite, and Excellence categories, aged 14 to 27.<\/div>\n

The 29th edition of the National Bank Scholarship Program awarded 26 academic excellence scholarships highlighting the academic results of student-athletes and 11 academic and athletic success support scholarships aimed at promoting the balance between sports and studies.<\/div>\n

Several student-athletes supported by National Bank have particularly distinguished themselves on the international stage. Let us think, among others, of the tennis player F\u00e9lix Auger-Aliassime<\/strong>, to the freestyle skier Mika\u00ebl Kingsbury<\/strong>, to the para-swimmer Aur\u00e9lie Rivard<\/strong>, to the para-athlete Diane Roy<\/strong>, to the cyclist Hugo Houle<\/strong>, to the metal caster Alex Harvey<\/strong>, to the female boxer Ariane Fortin<\/strong>, to the weightlifter Christine Girard<\/strong>, to the female speed skaters Marianne St-Gelais<\/strong> and Sylvie Daigle<\/strong>, to the hockey players Charline Labont\u00e9<\/strong>, Caroline Ouellette<\/strong> and Guillaume Latendresse<\/strong> as well as to female divers Jennifer Abel<\/strong> and Roseline Filion<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
