Seeing our mission supported so significantly and for such a long period by a major sponsor is obviously a great source of pride. Especially since Saputo is involved in other FAEQ activities, such as the D\u00e9fi 808 Bonneville.\u00bb<\/div>\n<div><strong>\u2013 Claude Chagnon, President of the Foundation for Athletic Excellence<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The year 2020 will be a very important one for many Saputo scholarship holders, who will be seeking qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Among them, notable weightlifters <strong>Tali Darsigny<\/strong> and <strong>Kristel Ngarlem<\/strong>, divers <strong>Meaghan Benfeito<\/strong> and <strong>Philippe Gagn\u00e9<\/strong>, the gymnast <strong>F\u00e9lix Dolci<\/strong>, the judoka <strong>\u00c9tienne Briand<\/strong>, the polo player <strong>Axelle Crevier<\/strong> and the kayaker <strong>Pierre-Luc Poulin<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Among other Saputo scholars who have stood out in recent months, we note, among others, <strong>Florence Brunelle<\/strong> in short track speed skating, junior world vice-champion in the 500m and 1500m; <strong>F\u00e9lix Auger-Aliassime<\/strong> in tennis, who continues their very impressive run; <strong>Justine<\/strong> and <strong>Chlo\u00e9 Dufour-Lapointe<\/strong> In freestyle skiing, on the World Cup circuit and <strong>Frederique Cigna<\/strong>, a swimming student-athlete for the Carabins of the University of Montreal, who won the Gildan Leadership Award at the last Official College and University Bursary Gala 2019.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Two types of scholarships were awarded: 19 academic excellence scholarships highlighting excellent academic results and 32 academic and sports success support scholarships to encourage the reconciliation of sports and studies.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-4\">\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2598\" src=\"https:\/\/fondationaleo.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/groupe_filles_soccer-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2599\" src=\"https:\/\/fondationaleo.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/groupe_gars_soccer-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Montr\u00e9al, le 18 f\u00e9vrier 2020 \u2013 La Fondation de l\u2019athl\u00e8te d\u2019excellence (FAEQ) et Saputo inc. ont c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 20 ans de collaboration mardi, au Centre Nutrilait, en offrant un total de 150 000 $ \u00e0 51 \u00e9tudiants-athl\u00e8tes de talent dans le cadre de la 20e \u00e9dition du Programme de bourses Saputo.
