Montr\u00e9al, le 27\u00a0f\u00e9vrier\u00a02023 \u2013<\/strong> Dans le cadre de l\u2019assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale annuelle de Golf Qu\u00e9bec, la 9e \u00e9dition du Programme de bourses Golf Qu\u00e9bec\/Fondation Al\u00e9o (anciennement Fondation de l\u2019athl\u00e8te d\u2019excellence du Qu\u00e9bec) a permis \u00e0 30 \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes en golf de recevoir des bourses individuelles de 2000 $ \u00e0 4000 $ pour un montant total de 70 000 $.<\/p>\n

Le programme de bourses Golf Qu\u00e9bec\/Fondation Al\u00e9o, mis sur pied en 2014, d\u00e9coule du d\u00e9sir des deux organismes d\u2019aider financi\u00e8rement et de mieux encadrer les jeunes golfeuses et golfeurs, tout en les sensibilisant \u00e0 la poursuite et \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite de leurs \u00e9tudes en parall\u00e8le de leur carri\u00e8re sportive.<\/p>\n

Six g\u00e9n\u00e9reuses personnes ou organisations s\u2019impliquent dans le programme cette ann\u00e9e : Claude Chagnon<\/strong>, Fednav<\/strong>, F. Furst Enterprises LTD<\/strong>, Roland-Beaulieu Foundation<\/strong>, Peacock Family Foundation<\/strong> while Groupe Park Avenue<\/strong>. Their donations are in addition to a portion of the profits from Challenge 808 Bonneville <\/strong>2022 pour financer le Programme de bourses Golf Qu\u00e9bec\/Fondation Al\u00e9o.<\/p>\n

Les deux organismes ont profit\u00e9 de cette \u00e9dition \u00e0 la Maison du loisir et du sport pour r\u00e9it\u00e9rer leurs engagements d\u2019encourager, d\u2019encadrer et de soutenir financi\u00e8rement 10 jeunes \u00e0 haut potentiel qui sont de retour dans le programme de bourses. Ils ont par ailleurs accueilli dans leur grande famille 20 nouvelles recrues qu\u2019ils appuieront dans la poursuite de leur parcours acad\u00e9mique et vers leur prochaine saison.<\/p>\n

La cohorte 2023 a pu b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un t\u00e9moignage d\u2019\u00c9olie Delisle, boursi\u00e8re 2022. Cette \u00e9tudiante-athl\u00e8te en m\u00e9decine et nouvelle ambassadrice de la Fondation a pu partager l\u2019effet bien tangible du soutien que lui apporte Al\u00e9o.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Le golf au Canada est en plein essor et la 9e \u00e9dition de ce programme vise \u00e0 soutenir le d\u00e9veloppement sportif des athl\u00e8tes d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui et de demain. L\u2019objectif \u00e9tait d\u2019offrir la possibilit\u00e9 de s\u2019entra\u00eener de fa\u00e7on plus globale, en utilisant les m\u00eames outils que les athl\u00e8tes d\u2019autres sports, le tout en b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant d\u2019un encadrement scolaire de qualit\u00e9. La Fondation est ravie de continuer \u00e0 enrichir le vivier de talents qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois gr\u00e2ce au soutien de ses pr\u00e9cieux partenaires. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab L\u2019encadrement et le soutien des \u00e9tudiants-athl\u00e8tes dans le d\u00e9veloppement de leur plein potentiel est au c\u0153ur de nos actions. La croissance du programme Golf-\u00e9tudes au cours des derni\u00e8res saisons et la cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019\u00e9quipe du Qu\u00e9bec pour 2023 contribuent fortement \u00e0 l\u2019atteinte de cet objectif. Signe du succ\u00e8s de nos initiatives, 9 jeunes golfeuses et golfeurs d\u2019ici ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s en 2023 au sein des diff\u00e9rentes formations d\u2019\u00e9quipe Canada. Cons\u00e9quemment, la collaboration avec la Fondation Al\u00e9o est vitale afin de r\u00e9unir les \u00e9l\u00e9ments favorisant la r\u00e9ussite des jeunes autant sur le plan scolaire que sportif. \u00bb<\/p>\n

New name, new image, same mission!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) has adopted a new name and visual identity: AL\u00c9O \u2013 Propelling the athlete beyond sport<\/strong>. This change aims to further highlight its personalized approach where overall well-being<\/strong> and the bien-\u00eatre dans la performance<\/strong> de ses boursi\u00e8res et boursiers sont au centre de ses actions.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1920, Golf Qu\u00e9bec is the provincial sports federation whose mission is to increase participation in golf and develop excellence in the sport.
