A total of 37 student-athletes received individual scholarships with a combined value of 130,000 $.<\/p>\n<p>The 2023 cohort gathered and had the honor of participating in a ceremony at the National Bank headquarters for the occasion. This was the first awards ceremony for the Program since the name change of the Al\u00e9o Foundation (formerly the Fondation de l'athl\u00e8te d'excellence).<\/p>\n<p>In the presence of <strong>Patrick Charlebois<\/strong>, Senior Wealth Management Advisor and Portfolio Manager at National Bank and runner, the recipients received congratulations for their exceptional achievements and their commitment to their studies and their sport. The event was a unique opportunity for student-athletes to gather, thus creating a strong and inspiring community. Year after year, the Al\u00e9o Foundation and National Bank look forward to seeing the recipients continue to excel on the sports fields and in their higher education.<\/p>\n<p>The host <strong>Charles-Antoine Sinotte<\/strong>, columnist for <em>Hi Hello<\/em> and former Foundation scholarship recipient, hosted the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Among the hundreds of student-athletes supported by National Bank in recent years, some have particularly distinguished themselves on the international stage, starting with <strong>Mika\u00ebl Kingsbury<\/strong>, double world champion in 2019, 2021 and 2023. Olympic athletes <strong>Jules Burnotte<\/strong> and <strong>Antoine Cyr<\/strong> are also part of this group, just like <strong>Emy Legault, <\/strong>bronze medalist at the last Americas Triathlon Championships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In their own words:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00abNational Bank has played a fundamental role over the years by supporting the Foundation in carrying out its mission.
