Sylvain Cossette, President and CEO of Cominar, unveiled on Thursday the names of the 11 student-athletes who are part of the 4th edition of the Cominar Scholarship Program within the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) and who shared $40,000 $.<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00abIt is with great joy that Cominar joins the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence to recognize academic and athletic excellence in Quebec for the fourth year in a row,\u00bb said Mr. Cossette. \"The successes of the province's student-athletes always inspire Cominar employees, and it is with great pride that we support 11 of them today.\"<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This year, seven academic excellence scholarships were awarded to recognize excellent academic results, and four scholarships to support academic and athletic success were offered to encourage the balance between studies and high-level sports.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The President of FAEQ, Mr. Claude Chagnon, was delighted to count on the support of a Quebec City company: \u00abFAEQ has supported and financially supported many student-athletes from the Old Capital for several years. We can think in particular of Olympic medalist Laurie Blouin, world champion Alex Harvey, two-time Paralympian in winter and summer Games Cindy Ouellet, and the rising star of men's tennis F\u00e9lix Auger-Aliassime, not to mention a multitude of representatives of the Rouge et Or. We are proud to have the trust and commitment of companies headquartered in Quebec City.\u00bb<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Cominar Scholarship Program, only four years old, already counts among its scholarship recipients and former recipients several laureates who have distinguished themselves, such as Gabrielle Carl (soccer), named alternate for the Canadian Olympic team at the Rio 2016 Games, Pier-Andr\u00e9 C\u00f4t\u00e9 (road cycling), Canadian elite champion, and Kiandra Browne (basketball), a member of the Canadian under-18 team.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-4\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fondationaleo.ca\/Uploads\/GIL_3291.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"370\" height=\"246\" \/><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qu\u00e9bec, le 6 septembre 2018 \u2013 M.
