Le programme Donnez au suivant, annonc\u00e9 il y a un an, lors du d\u00e9voilement de la nouvelle image de marque de la Fondation Al\u00e9o, a proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 ses premiers relais entre donateurs et r\u00e9cipiendaires.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours de la soir\u00e9e, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par <b>RDS<\/b>, dans les locaux de la Maison du loisir et du sport, l\u2019animateur de la soir\u00e9e <b>Fran\u00e7ois-\u00c9tienne Corbin<\/b> a eu l\u2019occasion de mettre en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019appui que recevront <b>84 nouveaux r\u00e9cipiendaires<\/b> de bourses cette saison.<\/p>\n<p>La Fondation Al\u00e9o a ainsi pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 les \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront, \u00e0 compter de l\u2019ann\u00e9e scolaire 2023-2024, de <b>28 bourses de recrutement coll\u00e9gial RDS<\/b> de 3000 $ sur 3 ans et de <b>37 bourses de recrutement universitaire <\/b>de 10 000 $ sur 5 ans, dont 18 sont issues du <b>Pay it Forward Program <\/b>et 19 offertes par le<b> Government of Quebec<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>De plus, <b>six bourses d\u2019excellence acad\u00e9mique Molson Coors<\/b>, soulignant une conciliation remarquable du sport et des \u00e9tudes, et <b>cinq bourses de leadership Gildan<\/b>, reconnaissant l\u2019engagement social majeur dans la communaut\u00e9, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 octroy\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Finalement, <b>huit bourses sp\u00e9ciales Fondation Al\u00e9o<\/b>, destin\u00e9es \u00e0 des \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes ayant entam\u00e9 leur parcours post-secondaire dans un \u00e9tablissement \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de la province et qui ont fait un retour au Qu\u00e9bec, ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Notre plus ancienne remise de bourses prend un air de jeunesse cette ann\u00e9e avec le lancement de notre programme Donnez au suivant! Cette initiative permet \u00e0 celles et \u00e0 ceux qui ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 des bourses coll\u00e9giales et universitaires de contribuer \u00e0 leur tour aux parcours de la rel\u00e8ve. Et c\u2019est beaucoup plus qu\u2019un ch\u00e8que. Autant les donatrices et donateurs que les r\u00e9cipiendaires, elles et ils entrent en jeu \u00e0 la Fondation Al\u00e9o et font un pas dans notre riche tradition. Nous avons devant les yeux les exemples parfaits de leaders de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 que la Fondation Al\u00e9o participe \u00e0 propulser au-del\u00e0 du sport ainsi que celles et ceux qui s\u2019appr\u00eatent \u00e0 suivre leurs pas. This year, the bursary ceremony, which was inaugurated at the same time as the Foundation, brought the <i>Give to the following<\/i> program into the fold. This program was announced a year ago at the unveiling of the Al\u00e9o Foundation\u2019s new branding and greeted its first cohort of donors and bursary recipients during the presentations.<\/p>\n<p>The event, which was presented by <b>RDS<\/b> at the Maison du Loisir et du Sport, was hosted by <b>Fran\u00e7ois-\u00c9tienne Corbin<\/b> and outlined the support of <b>84 new bursary recipients<\/b> for this season.<\/p>\n<p>The Al\u00e9o Foundation presented the names of the student-athletes who, starting in the 2023-2024 school year, will benefit from <b>28 RDS college recruitment bursaries<\/b> worth $3,000 over three years and <b>37 university recruitment bursaries<\/b> worth $10,000 over five years, eighteen of which were awarded through the <b><i>Give to the following<\/i><\/b> program. Nineteen others were awarded courtesy of the <b>Government of Quebec<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, <b>six Molson Coors Academic Excellence bursaries<\/b> recognizing outstanding achievement in balancing sport and studies and <b>five<\/b> <b>Gildan Leadership bursaries<\/b> recognizing significant community involvement were awarded.<\/p>\n<p>A further <b>eight Al\u00e9o Foundation special bursaries<\/b> were awarded to student-athletes who began their post-secondary studies at institutions outside the province but later returned to Quebec.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur oldest bursary program was rejuvenated this year with the launch of the <i>Give to the following<\/i> program! This initiative enables past recipients from college and university bursaries to contribute to the careers of the next generation. And it consists of much more than a simple cheque. Donors and recipients alike will become part of the Foundation and contribute to its rich history. Before us are perfect examples of community leaders the Al\u00e9o Foundation is helping to propel beyond sport, as well as those who are soon to follow in their footsteps.
