Montreal, February 24, 2024 \u2013<\/b> The collaboration between Golf Qu\u00e9bec and the Al\u00e9o Foundation, established in 2014, once again this year makes it possible to support 30 emerging athletes by offering them $90,000 $ in scholarships and services to pursue their athletic and academic goals. Since the beginning of this program, more than $900,000 $ has been awarded in scholarships and services to golfers in Quebec.<\/p>\n

During the commencement, the 2024 cohort had the benefit of the advice and testimony of\u2019\u00c9tienne Papineau<\/b>, a scholarship recipient from the very first edition in 2014 and now a professional golfer. The recipients thus saw the concrete impact of the Al\u00e9o Foundation on a golfer's journey, all the way to the highest levels.<\/p>\n

This year, the 10balancing<\/sup> The award ceremony for the Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Scholarship Program is made possible thanks to six generous donors: Claude Chagnon<\/b>, Fednav<\/b>, F. Furst Enterprises LTD<\/b>, Roland-Beaulieu Foundation<\/b>, Peacock Family Foundation<\/b> while Groupe Park Avenue<\/b>. Their donations are in addition to a portion of the profits from Challenge 808 Bonneville <\/b>2023 dedicated to this program.<\/p>\n

The Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Scholarship Program was created jointly by the two organizations to financially assist and better support young golfers, while raising their awareness of the critical importance of their studies in conjunction with their sporting careers.<\/p>\n

\u00abGolf is a sport with a unique reality, and it's important for us to support student-athletes in this discipline in the best possible way. Our collaboration with Golf Qu\u00e9bec thus allows us to participate in the athletic development of today's and tomorrow's athletes and to offer them the opportunity to train in a more comprehensive manner, using the same tools as athletes in other sports, all while benefiting from quality academic support.\u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00abGolf Qu\u00e9bec is very proud of its association with the Al\u00e9o Foundation over the past ten years. There are many examples of success. \u00c9tienne Papineau and Celeste Dao<\/b>, to name just a few, have benefited from the Foundation's continued support to pursue their academic and athletic development. Several other young athletes have received the same guidance, and this will certainly be the case for the recipients of the 2024 cohort. They can all aspire to achieve high levels of performance, even on the international stage. I would also like to highlight the work accomplished by the coaches, who are an important pillar in the development of young athletes. The partnership between our two organizations adequately supports Golf Qu\u00e9bec's theme of igniting passions and nurturing dreams.
