La Fondation Al\u00e9o cr\u00e9e un programme pour favoriser le leadership chez les \u00e9tudiant.e.s-athl\u00e8tes universitaires<\/strong><\/p>\n

Montr\u00e9al, le 6 mars 2024<\/strong> – La Fondation Al\u00e9o est fi\u00e8re d’annoncer un tout nouveau programme de leadership holistique pour les \u00e9tudiants\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes, soutenu par la Fondation McCall MacBain. Ce nouveau programme vise \u00e0 encourager les \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes membres du RSEQ au niveau universitaire \u00e0 concilier leurs \u00e9tudes et leur sport tout en d\u00e9veloppant leurs comp\u00e9tences en leadership.<\/p>\n

La Fondation Al\u00e9o accueillera son premier groupe de dix r\u00e9cipiendaires \u00e0 l’automne 2024. Les \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s participeront \u00e0 des s\u00e9ances de coaching individualis\u00e9es ainsi qu’\u00e0 des ateliers de groupe avec des experts en mati\u00e8re de leadership. Les r\u00e9cipiendaires recevront \u00e9galement une bourse de 4000 $ qui contribuera \u00e0 d\u00e9frayer les co\u00fbts li\u00e9s \u00e0 la pratique d’un sport de haut niveau et aux \u00e9tudes universitaires. Des bourses seront disponibles pour les \u00e9tudiants originaires du Qu\u00e9bec et d’ailleurs au Canada poursuivant leurs \u00e9tudes dans une institution qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise.<\/p>\n

Les \u00e9tudiants-athl\u00e8tes souhaitant postuler au programme doivent le faire en acc\u00e9dant au fondationaleo.ca et en cliquant sur l’onglet Programme leadership,<\/a> d\u2019ici le 12 avril. Les candidatures recherch\u00e9es sont celles \u00a0d\u2019\u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes qui d\u00e9montrent une capacit\u00e9 de leadership, qui sont engag\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s et passionn\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s par le d\u00e9veloppement personnel et qui sont admissibles aux volets acad\u00e9mique et sportif du RSEQ \u00e0 l’automne 2024.<\/p>\n

About the Al\u00e9o Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1985, la Fondation de l\u2019athl\u00e8te d\u2019excellence (FAEQ) a octroy\u00e9 plus de 20 millions de dollars en bourses \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 4000 \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes \u00e9m\u00e9rites de partout au Qu\u00e9bec. Dans le but de pr\u00e9ciser la mission de l\u2019organisation qui vise \u00e0 propulser l\u2019athl\u00e8te au-del\u00e0 du sport, la FAEQ a chang\u00e9 de nom et d\u2019image de marque en 2022; elle se nomme maintenant la Fondation Al\u00e9o. The Al\u00e9o Foundation Creates Program to Foster Leadership in University Student-Athletes<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Montr\u00e9al- March 6th<\/sup>, 2024-<\/strong> The Al\u00e9o Foundation is proud to announce a brand-new holistic leadership program for student-athletes, supported by the McCall MacBain Foundation. This new program aims to encourage student-athletes competing in the RSEQ at the university level, to combine their studies and their sport as well as develop their leadership skills.<\/p>\n

The Al\u00e9o Foundation will welcome its first group of ten recipients in the fall of 2024. Student-athletes who are selected for the program will engage in individualized coaching sessions as well as group seminars with experts in leadership training. Recipients will also receive a $4000 stipend which will help offset the costs of pursuing high-level sport and academics. Scholarships will be available to students from Quebec and elsewhere in Canada pursuing their studies in a Quebec institution.<\/p>\n

Student-athletes who wish to apply for the program can do so by accessing the Al\u00e9o Foundation\u2019s website at fondationaleo.ca, and clicking on the Leadership Program<\/a> tab. The ideal candidate is a student-athlete who has demonstrated an ability to lead, who is committed and passionate about personal development and who is academically and athletically eligible to compete in the RSEQ in the fall of 2024.<\/p>\n
