Mario Plourde<\/b>, pr\u00e9sident et chef de la direction de la multinationale qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise, un total de 100 000 $ en bourses et en services ont \u00e9t\u00e9 remis \u00e0 24 \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois r\u00e9unis \u00e0 l\u2019Auberge Saint-Gabriel, \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al.\r\n\r\nLe programme conna\u00eet un franc succ\u00e8s, depuis ses d\u00e9buts en 2005. Partenaire de premier ordre de la Fondation Al\u00e9o, Cascades a choisi d\u2019\u00eatre une co\u00e9quipi\u00e8re majeure de centaines d\u2019\u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes au cours des deux derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies. L\u2019entreprise a ainsi d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00e0 quel point, tout comme la Fondation Al\u00e9o, elle est convaincue du potentiel humain des athl\u00e8tes d\u2019ici.\r\n\r\nCascades a notamment \u00e9t\u00e9 un tremplin pour Alexandre Bilodeau<\/b>, Mika\u00ebl Kingsbury<\/b>, Alex Harvey<\/b>, Am\u00e9lie Kretz<\/b>, Elizabeth<\/b> and Fran\u00e7oise Abanda<\/b>, Emilie<\/b> and Hugues Fournel<\/b>. Ces derniers ont d\u2019ailleurs t\u00e9moign\u00e9 de la grande diff\u00e9rence que cet appui a faite dans leurs parcours au cours de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement.\r\n\r\nEn plus des Fournel, plusieurs boursi\u00e8res et boursiers pass\u00e9s du programme de bourses Cascades ont tenu \u00e0 \u00eatre pr\u00e9sents pour souligner ce 20e<\/sup> anniversaire. Parmi ces athl\u00e8tes, le champion olympique Alexandre Bilodeau, aujourd\u2019hui financier et membre du conseil d\u2019administration de la Fondation Al\u00e9o, ainsi que les olympiens Jean-Philippe Le Guellec<\/b>, Catrine Lavall\u00e9e<\/b> et plusieurs autres.\r\n\r\nDeux autres boursiers Cascades ont \u00e9galement pos\u00e9 un geste fort significatif. Alex-Anne<\/b> and Marc-Antoine Gagnon,<\/b> deux skieurs acrobatiques, \u00e9paul\u00e9s par leurs parents, ont remis leur premi\u00e8re bourse dans le cadre du programme Donnez au suivant<\/i>. Ainsi, la famille Gagnon a remis une bourse de 2000 $ \u00e0 Vicky Roblain<\/b>, aussi skieuse acrobatique en bosses. Une bourse enti\u00e8rement financ\u00e9e par les donateurs Gagnon et accompagn\u00e9e des services \u00e0 vie de la Fondation Al\u00e9o.\r\n\r\n\u00c0 l\u2019instar des Gagnon, une autre boursi\u00e8re Cascades, Christelle Doyon<\/b> a aussi particip\u00e9e personnellement \u00e0 deux programmes de la Fondation Al\u00e9o au cours des derniers mois. En f\u00e9vrier, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 donatrice pour Acc\u00e8s Nouvelle G\u00e9n\u00e9ration<\/i> et, \u00e0 la fin mai, c\u2019\u00e9tait \u00e0 son tour de remettre une bourse Donnez au suivant<\/i> au cours du cocktail printanier de la Fondation Al\u00e9o.\r\n\r\nIn their own words:<\/b>\r\n\r\n\u00ab Cascades croit sinc\u00e8rement aux mod\u00e8les exceptionnels que sont les \u00e9tudiantes et les \u00e9tudiants-athl\u00e8tes dans notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9. 20th anniversary Al\u00e9o Foundation x Cascades<\/h3>\r\n

Investing in exceptional young talent<\/h1>\r\nMontreal, June 12, 2024<\/b> – As part of the 20-year collaboration between the Al\u00e9o Foundation and Cascades, and in the presence of Mr. Mario Plourde<\/b>, President and CEO of the Quebec multinational, a total of $100,000 in scholarships and services was awarded to 24 Quebec student-athletes at the Auberge Saint-Gabriel in Montreal.\r\n\r\nThe program has been a resounding success since its inception in 2005. As an exceptionally loyal partner of the Al\u00e9o Foundation, Cascades has chosen to be a major teammate for hundreds of student-athletes over the past two decades. In doing so, the company as well as the Al\u00e9o Foundation, have demonstrated its belief, in the human potential of local athletes.\r\n\r\nCascades was a springboard for Alexandre Bilodeau<\/b>, Mika\u00ebl Kingsbury,<\/b> Alex Harvey<\/b>, Am\u00e9lie Kretz,<\/b> Elizabeth <\/b>and Fran\u00e7oise Abanda<\/b>, Emilie<\/b> and Hugues Fournel<\/b>. The latter, spoke to the outstanding impact this support had to their careers during the event.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the Fournels, several past recipients of Cascades scholarships were present to mark the 20th anniversary. These included Olympic champion Alexandre Bilodeau, now a financier and member of the Al\u00e9o Foundation\u2019s Board of Directors, as well as Olympians Jean-Philippe Le Guellec,<\/b> Catrine Lavall\u00e9e<\/b> and many others.\r\n\r\nTwo other Cascades scholarship recipients also made a significant gesture. Alexanne<\/b> and Marc-Andr\u00e9 Gagnon,<\/b> two freestyle skiers, with their parents, presented their first scholarship as part of the Donnez au suivant<\/i> program. The Gagnon family presented a $2,000 award to Vicky Roblain<\/b>, also a freestyle mogul skier. The scholarship was entirely financed by the Gagnons, and comes with lifetime services from the Al\u00e9o Foundation.\r\n\r\nLike the Gagnons, another Cascades scholarship recipient, Christelle Doyon<\/b> has also personally contributed to two Al\u00e9o Foundation programs in recent months. In February, she was a donor for the Acc\u00e8s Nouvelle G\u00e9n\u00e9ration<\/i>, and at the end of May, it was her turn to present a Donnez au suivant<\/i> scholarship at the Al\u00e9o Foundation’s spring cocktail party.\r\n\r\nIn their words:<\/b>\r\n\r\n\u00ab\u00a0Cascades sincerely believes in the exceptional role that student-athletes play in our society. That’s why it’s not only natural for us to support them financially, but also to emphasize how much we believe in their potential, athletically and academically.
