Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Scholarship program: A combination of scholarships and services\u2028for the next generation of golfers<\/h1>\n
Montr\u00e9al, February 24, 2025 \u2013<\/b> The collaboration between Golf Qu\u00e9bec and the Al\u00e9o Foundation, established in 2014, continues this year with support in the form of scholarships and services deployed for life to the recipients. During the presentation, 27 student-golfers received $72,000 in scholarships and services to help them pursue their sporting and academic goals.<\/p>\n
This 11th edition of the Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Scholarship Program is made possible by generous donors including Claude Chagnon<\/b>, Roland-Beaulieu Foundation<\/b> and Groupe Park Avenue<\/b>. Their donations are in addition to a portion of the proceeds from the 2024 \u00c0 table pour les athl\u00e8tes <\/b>event, as well as donations from the Patrick Rh\u00e9aume Fund<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Patrick Rh\u00e9aume Scholarships<\/b><\/p>\n
Patrick Rh\u00e9aume<\/b>, a friend of Golf Qu\u00e9bec, former coach and former Golf Canada Regional Director for Qu\u00e9bec, was living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and passed away in February 2024. Involved in many ways in the world of golf in Quebec and Canada for 31 years, he wanted to leave a legacy for the sport he loved. He and his entourage therefore set up the Patrick Rh\u00e9aume Fund to support athletes whose commitment to their sport reaches a remarkable level.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want the Patrick Rh\u00e9aume Fund to continue to support Quebec athletes year after year. It’s important to help young people who work hard and are committed to their sport,\u201d explained Patrick Rh\u00e9aume at a tournament held in his honour in September 2023.<\/p>\n
Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Program <\/b><\/p>\n
The Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Scholarship Program was created jointly by the two organizations to provide financial assistance and better support to young golfers, while raising awareness of the vital importance of their studies in keeping with their sporting careers.<\/p>\n

\u201cGolf Qu\u00e9bec is very proud of its association with the Al\u00e9o Foundation for over 10 years now. Since 2014, more than 300 recipients have benefited not only from the program’s scholarships, but also from the services deployed by the Al\u00e9o Foundation. It’s a program that puts the athlete first to offer them the tools to develop in all spheres of their lives, in their journey towards excellence.
