Montreal, April 2, 2025 \u2013 The Al\u00e9o Foundation and the Qu\u00e9bec City business community have once again joined forces to raise a net profit of 120,000 $ during two hours of festivities! This amount will be fully allocated to scholarships and services for student-athletes in the Qu\u00e9bec and Chaudi\u00e8re-Appalaches regions in the fall of 2025. In addition to hundreds of business leaders, 30 sports personalities joined the \u00ab\u00c0 table pour les athl\u00e8tes\u00bb dinner on March 27 at the Qu\u00e9bec City Cruise Terminal.<\/b><\/p>\n
Under the honorary chairmanship of Jacques Francisque,<\/b> President of Rogers Mobile Planet and Fido Mobifone, alongside the committed and inspiring spokesperson, Alex Harvey<\/b>, the second edition of the \u00ab\u00c0 table pour les athl\u00e8tes\u00bb event was once again a great success combining pleasure, good food, and philanthropy.<\/p>\n
Among the sports personalities who made a point of being present, the Minister responsible for Sport, Recreation and Outdoor Activities Isabelle Charest<\/b>, an Al\u00e9o Foundation bursary recipient in 1994 and 1995, recalled the long-term impact, for student-athletes as much as for society, of investing in and believing in these young people.<\/p>\n
Several active and retired athletes also emphasized the importance of participating in the event to give back to the Al\u00e9o Foundation, which played a significant role in their journeys. From beneficiaries to contributors, they participate in the circular philanthropy that characterizes the Al\u00e9o Foundation.<\/p>\n
In addition to its spokesperson Alex Harvey, the Al\u00e9o Foundation was also able to count on several Olympic and Paralympic athletes, including Charles Philibert-Thiboutot<\/b>, Jean-Simon Desgagn\u00e9s<\/b>, Laurent Dubreuil<\/b>, Marianne St-Gelais<\/b>, Cindy Ouellet<\/b> and Val\u00e9rie Maltais<\/b> as well as families of recipients such as Philippe<\/b> and Vincent Marquis<\/b> or Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Pedneault<\/b> and her daughter Amelia Sow<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Deeply grateful for this major success, the Al\u00e9o Foundation confirmed the return of the \u00ab\u00c0 table pour les athl\u00e8tes\u00bb event in 2026 for its third edition.<\/p>\n
