Working at the heart of the Foundation and directly with student-athletes, sports federations, and partners for 11 years, Jonathan has been a pillar of the Aléo team. His immense expertise developed over the past decade is now propelling him toward new challenges.

A recipient of a Aléo Foundation scholarship during his athletic career in football as a quarterback for McGill University, Jonathan was hired by the same foundation as a scholarship program officer in April 2014. Equipped with a Bachelor's degree in secondary education in history and geography, he quickly established connections with the student-athletes he interviewed. Over 3,000 such interviews over the past decade.

«I have had the immense privilege of meeting and talking to a very large number of student-athletes from all levels of competition, of all ages, and in all sports. The pleasure of getting to know them through personal conversations. Each and every one of them has been very special to me. Contributing, in a very modest way, to their development, whatever it may be, is my greatest accomplishment,» expressed Jonathan Collin.

As scholarship programs coordinator for several years, Jonathan has notably participated in the restructuring of the university recruitment scholarship program as well as the creation of the college recruitment scholarship program. He has also contributed to the creation of the golf program, the New Generation Access program and, more recently, the Leadership program. Jonathan was also the mastermind behind a new program to be launched in 2025-2026, the details of which cannot yet be revealed.

It is with a heavy heart that Jonathan is leaving his position at the Aléo Foundation. He fully embraces its vision and objectives and will continue to contribute to it, among other ways, as a donor to the Pay It Forward program.

«It has been an extraordinary privilege to work for the Aléo Foundation and for so many exceptional student-athletes for so many years. I deeply believe in its mission, and I know that my colleagues, as well as those who collaborate with them, are among the most dedicated and inspiring people I have ever met. I have learned a tremendous amount over the years, and I am particularly grateful to Pierre Dubé and Patricia Demers for giving me this opportunity many years ago. It is a difficult decision to leave such a strong and committed team, even though I am looking forward to the projects and challenges that await me,» Jonathan Collin added.

«Seeing Jonathan leave evokes mixed feelings of great sadness and immense pride. We are obviously very disappointed to lose him from our team—he has been our great quiet strength—but at the same time, we are extremely proud to see that the knowledge and skills he gained at the Aléo Foundation have allowed him to develop a rich expertise that now enables him to take a major professional leap. On my behalf, as well as on behalf of the team and the board of directors, I would like to thank him wholeheartedly for these 11 years of dedication, passion, commitment, and high professionalism. Wishing him continued success in the future, concluded Patricia Demers, executive director of the Aléo Foundation.

– 30 –

For more information:

The job offer for Scholarship Programs Coordinator is HERE.

Patricia Demers
Chief Executive Officer
Aléo Foundation
514-252-3171, extension 3728

[21

post-8292","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nouvelle-de-la-fondation-aleo
["GET
