Montreal, October 7, 2025 \u2013<\/b> What better than autumn to welcome a football player to the Al\u00e9o team! Former Montreal Alouettes linebacker Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chagnon has chosen to join the Foundation's ranks as Scholarship Programs Coordinator.<\/p>\n
Professional soccer player until December 2024 and holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations Management and Finance from HEC Montr\u00e9al, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chagnon has combined the perfect blend of experience and academic training to become a top-tier contributor to Al\u00e9o Foundation scholarship recipients.<\/p>\n
\u00abBeing able to meet and support so many student-athletes, across all sports, is something that really excites me. The opportunity to follow their journeys, both athletic and academic, all the way to career transition, is a huge motivation for me,\u00bb expressed the new scholarship programs coordinator.<\/p>\n
Vanier and Grey Cup winner Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chagnon understands the challenges of being an elite student-athlete. He also knows the value of hard work required to get there and the choices that young people supported by the Al\u00e9o Foundation must make. This unique experience will resonate with all stakeholders in the sports, philanthropic, and financial communities.<\/p>\n

About the Al\u00e9o Foundation<\/b>
\nThe Al\u00e9o Foundation's mission is to maximize the full potential of as many outstanding student-athletes as possible from all backgrounds, in order to generate significant and lasting impact. Created in 1985, it has awarded over $25 million in scholarships to more than 5,000 student-athletes from across Quebec.
