Montr\u00e9al, le 18 janvier 2026 \u2013 <\/b>Des passionn\u00e9s de golf ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9unis \u00e0 la Maison du Loisir et du Sport par la f\u00e9d\u00e9ration provinciale afin d\u2019assister \u00e0 la remise de bourses de la Fondation Al\u00e9o en \u00e9quipe avec Golf Qu\u00e9bec o\u00f9 30 \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes de golf ont re\u00e7u 75 000 $ en bourses et en services.<\/p>\n

Cette 12e \u00e9dition de la remise du Programme de bourses Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Fondation Al\u00e9o a \u00e9t\u00e9 possible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 de Claude Chagnon<\/b>, Roland-Beaulieu Foundation<\/b> et le Fonds Patrick Rh\u00e9aume<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Programme <\/b>Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Fondation Al\u00e9o <\/b><\/p>\n

Le Programme de bourses Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Fondation Al\u00e9o a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9, il y plus d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie, de concert par les deux organismes afin d\u2019aider financi\u00e8rement et de mieux encadrer les jeunes golfeuses et golfeurs, tout en les sensibilisant \u00e0 l\u2019importance primordiale de leurs \u00e9tudes en ad\u00e9quation avec leur carri\u00e8re sportive. Depuis, pr\u00e8s de 350 golfeurs et golfeuses ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 de ce programme et des services d\u2019accompagnement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s \u00e0 vie par la Fondation Al\u00e9o.<\/p>\n

Bourses Patrick Rh\u00e9aume<\/b><\/p>\n

Patrick Rh\u00e9aume<\/strong>, un ami de Golf Qu\u00e9bec, ancien entra\u00eeneur et ex-directeur r\u00e9gional de Golf Canada pour le Qu\u00e9bec, vivait avec la scl\u00e9rose lat\u00e9rale amyotrophique et est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 en f\u00e9vrier 2024. Engag\u00e9 de plusieurs fa\u00e7ons dans le monde du golf au Qu\u00e9bec et au Canada pendant 31 ans, il tenait \u00e0 laisser un h\u00e9ritage pour le sport qui le passionne. Son entourage et lui ont donc mis sur pied le Fonds Patrick Rh\u00e9aume qui a pour objectif de soutenir des athl\u00e8tes dont l\u2019engagement envers leur sport atteint un niveau remarquable.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Depuis 2014, ce programme a permis \u00e0 des centaines de jeunes passionn\u00e9(e)s de golf \u00e2g\u00e9s de 13 \u00e0 18 ans de recevoir un soutien concret pour grandir, non seulement comme athl\u00e8tes, mais aussi comme individus. Notre mission est de placer l\u2019athl\u00e8te au c\u0153ur de nos actions en lui offrant les outils n\u00e9cessaires pour progresser dans toutes les sph\u00e8res de sa vie, notamment gr\u00e2ce aux services d\u2019accompagnement qui l\u2019appuient aujourd\u2019hui, tout au long de son parcours et m\u00eame apr\u00e8s. Rien de tout cela ne serait possible sans nos donateurs, dont l\u2019engagement fait une r\u00e9elle diff\u00e9rence dans la vie de ces jeunes. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Scholarship Program: Joining forces to support the next generation of golfers<\/span><\/h1>\n

Montreal, January 18, 2026 <\/b>\u2013 Golf enthusiasts gathered at the Maison du Loisir et du Sport, hosted by the provincial federation, to attend the Al\u00e9o Foundation scholarship award ceremony in partnership with Golf Qu\u00e9bec, where 30 student-athlete golfers received $75,000 in scholarships and services.<\/p>\n

This 12th edition of the Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Fondation Al\u00e9o Scholarship Program awards ceremony was made possible thanks to the generosity of Claude Chagnon<\/b>, Roland-Beaulieu Foundation<\/b>, and Patrick Rh\u00e9aume Fund<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Al\u00e9o Foundation Program<\/b><\/p>\n

The Golf Qu\u00e9bec x Fondation Al\u00e9o Scholarship Program was created more than a decade ago by the two organizations to provide financial assistance and better support young golfers, while raising their awareness of the vital importance of pursuing their studies in tandem with their athletic careers. Since then, nearly 350 golfers have benefited from this program and the lifelong support services provided by the Al\u00e9o Foundation.<\/p>\n

Patrick Rh\u00e9aume Scholarships<\/b><\/p>\n

Patrick Rh\u00e9aume, a friend of Golf Qu\u00e9bec, former coach, and former regional director of Golf Canada for Qu\u00e9bec, lived with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and passed away in February 2024. Deeply involved in the world of golf in Qu\u00e9bec and Canada for 31 years, he was keen to leave a legacy for the sport he loved. He and his family therefore set up the Patrick Rh\u00e9aume Fund, which aims to support athletes whose commitment to their sport is truly remarkable.<\/p>\n

In their words:<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00bb Since 2014, this program has enabled hundreds of young golf enthusiasts aged 13 to 18 to receive concrete support to grow, not only as athletes, but also as individuals. Our mission is to put the athlete at the heart of everything we do by providing them with the tools they need to progress in all areas of their lives, particularly through the support services provided today, throughout their athletic career, and even beyond. None of this would be possible without our donors, whose commitment makes a real difference in the lives of these young people.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

\nFounded in 1920, Golf Qu\u00e9bec is the provincial sports federation whose mission is to increase participation in golf and develop excellence in the sport. \nThe Al\u00e9o Foundation’s mission is to maximize the full potential of the greatest number of excellent student-athletes from all walks of life, in order to generate a significant and lasting impact. Founded in 1985, the organization has awarded over $25 million in scholarships to more than 5,000 student-athletes across Qu\u00e9bec. In addition to these bursaries, the Foundation also provides lifelong services to all recipients during and after their athletic and academic careers.
