Montr\u00e9al, 22 janvier 2026 –<\/b> Fid\u00e8le au poste, l\u2019ancien champion du monde d\u2019arts martiaux mixtes, philanthrope et entrepreneur Georges St-Pierre<\/b> a tenu \u00e0 remettre ses bourses en personne \u00e0 sept \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes de sports de combat et en gymnastique pour un total de 15 000 $ en bourses et en services.<\/p>\n
Cette rencontre annuelle est toujours magique. Tr\u00e8s g\u00e9n\u00e9reux, Georges St-Pierre cr\u00e9e des \u00e9toiles dans les yeux de toutes ses boursi\u00e8res et tous ses boursiers, ainsi que leurs proches qui les accompagnent. Prenant le temps de rencontrer individuellement et avec grand int\u00e9r\u00eat chaque jeune, il leur a accord\u00e9 une attention particuli\u00e8re, les questionnant sur leur parcours, leurs fiert\u00e9s et leurs d\u00e9fis. Ces riches \u00e9changes ont pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 la partie protocolaire de la remise et les d\u00e9monstrations de chacune des disciplines. Des d\u00e9monstrations effectu\u00e9es en complicit\u00e9 avec Georges St-Pierre, parfois comme co\u00e9quipier, d\u2019autre fois comme cobaye!<\/p>\n
Un des objectifs du Programme de bourses de la Fondation Georges St-Pierre est de soutenir des \u00e9tudiant\u00b7e\u00b7s-athl\u00e8tes pratiquant un sport que l\u2019athl\u00e8te lui-m\u00eame int\u00e9grait dans sa pr\u00e9paration : la boxe, l\u2019escrime, la gymnastique artistique, le judo, le karat\u00e9, la lutte et le taekwondo.<\/p>\n
Le Centre Ippon<\/b>, dirig\u00e9 par Volodymyr Semyrozum<\/b>, ancien athl\u00e8te international en judo et p\u00e8re d\u2019un boursier de la Fondation Al\u00e9o, a g\u00e9n\u00e9reusement accueilli la 12e<\/sup> \u00e9dition de la remise de bourses de la Fondation Georges St-Pierre au sein de la Fondation Al\u00e9o! Les lieux d\u00e9di\u00e9s au judo ont offert les parfaites installations pour les sympathiques d\u00e9monstrations de tous les sports en vedette lors de la remise.<\/p>\n Benoit Beaudoin<\/b>, reporter – journaliste sp\u00e9cialiste des arts martiaux mixtes \u00e0 TVA sports et animateur invit\u00e9 de l\u2019activit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 surpris par l\u2019\u00e9quipe de la Fondation Al\u00e9o qui lui a remis le Prix \u00c9tincelle. Georges St-Pierre is very generous, putting stars in the eyes of all his scholarship recipients and their accompanying loved ones. Taking the time to meet with each young person individually and with great interest, he gave them special attention, asking them about their backgrounds, their sources of pride, and their challenges. These rich exchanges preceded the formal part of the award ceremony and demonstrations of each discipline. Demonstrations were carried out in collaboration with Georges St-Pierre, sometimes as a teammate, other times as a guinea pig!<\/p>\n One of the objectives of the Georges St-Pierre Foundation Scholarship Program is to support student-athletes who practice a sport that the athlete himself incorporated into his training: boxing, fencing, artistic gymnastics, judo, karate, wrestling, and taekwondo.<\/p>\n The Ippon Center<\/b>, led by Volodymyr Semyrozum<\/b>, a former international judo athlete and father of an Al\u00e9o Foundation scholarship recipient, generously hosted the 12th edition of the Georges St-Pierre Foundation scholarship awards ceremony at the Al\u00e9o Foundation. The judo facilities provided the perfect setting for the entertaining demonstrations of all the sports featured at the ceremony.<\/p>\n Benoit Beaudoin, <\/b>reporter and journalist specializing in mixed martial arts at TVA Sports and guest host of the event, was surprised by the Al\u00e9o Foundation team, who presented him with the Spark Award.
