Montreal, April 23, 2026 \u2013<\/b> The latest TREK Gala, now an autumn tradition, took place in the colors of Italy with 200 guests and 22 athletes, including the chef de mission Jennifer Heil<\/b> and the Olympic medalists Joannie Rochette<\/b> and Alexandre Bilodeau<\/b>, were immersed in the Olympic atmosphere in anticipation of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Games. The profits from this event now make it possible to offer 60,000 $ in scholarships and services to 12 student-athletes.<\/p>\n

This fifth edition of the award ceremony for the TREK Scholarship Program at the Al\u00e9o Foundation notably marks the eighth and final scholarship William Emard<\/b> at the Al\u00e9o Foundation. A star student-athlete in gymnastics and an ambassador for the Al\u00e9o Foundation, William is now investing back, as an active member of the foundation's communications committee, which has supported him since 2017, including four years with TREK. This is a concrete example of the impact of scholarships and services for Quebec student-athletes.<\/p>\n

The Trek Gala, which facilitates the awarding of scholarships in the following spring, is a meeting ground for business people from the metropolitan area and athletes. Some student-athletes are still active, while others are now in their post-sports professional careers. These are enriching encounters and convincing examples of the strength of the unified sports and studies journey. In this way, the Al\u00e9o Foundation and TREK also form a fruitful alliance to support local student-athletes.<\/p>\n

This is a moment that I cherish, as it is an opportunity to meet the young people we support and their families. It is truly touching to get to know them and to witness the difference that support makes in their life journeys. \u00abThe TREK Gala is always a very special evening. It's obviously an impressive fundraising event, but also an integrated organization between TREK and the Al\u00e9o Foundation. It's as a team that we put on the evening, both in preparation and during the gala. We become one large joint team, just like today, to award scholarships and services to student-athletes. Our partnership with TREK allows us to combine complementary strengths for the benefit of Quebec's student-athletes.\u00bb<\/p>\n
