126,000 $ scholarships awarded to 38 student-athletes through the National Bank Scholarship Program
Montreal, March 30, 2022 – The Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec (FAEQ) is proud to celebrate its long, close and fruitful partnership with National Bank, which is holding the 30th todaye edition of the National Bank Scholarship Program. Individual scholarships totaling 126,000 $ were awarded to 38 student-athletes.
As part of a live event on its Facebook page, with support from TVGO, that the FAEQ awarded scholarships of 2,000 $ and 4,000 $ to student-athletes identified as emerging, elite, or excellence level by their respective sports federations. The recipients are between the ages of 15 and 24 and come from all over the province.

Number 30e edition of the National Bank Scholarship Program made it possible today to award 22 academic excellence scholarships, which aim to highlight academic success, and 16 academic and athletic success support scholarships, which aim to promote the important balance between sports and studies.
Over the years, many student-athletes supported by National Bank have particularly distinguished themselves on the international stage. Among them, let us highlight the inspiring journey of weightlifter Maude Charron on his way to winning the gold medal in the under-64-kg weight class at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
More recently still, let us note the numerous successes of the freestyle skier Mikaël Kingsbury, Olympic silver medalist at the Beijing 2022 Games and recipient of his 19e, 20e and 21e World Cup Crystal Globes, not to mention the tennis player’s first ATP title Félix Auger-Aliassime.
To this select group, let us add, among others, the para-swimmer Aurélie Rivard, the para-athlete Diane Roy, the cyclist Hugo Houle, the skier Alex Harvey, the female boxer Ariane Fortin, the weightlifter Christine Girard, the speed skaters Marianne St-Gelais and Sylvie Daigle, the hockey players Charline Labonté, Caroline Ouellette and Guillaume Latendresse just like the female divers Jennifer Abel and Roseline Filion.
