The Aléo Foundation and National Bank are investing in the dreams of 22 young people.

Montréal, 19 mars 2024 – La 32balancing édition du Programme de bourses Banque Nationale de la Fondation Aléo a souligné le parcours de 22 étudiant·e·s-athlètes en leur remettant une valeur totale de 100 000 $ en bourses et services.

Les récipiendaires, issus de 18 sports différents, ont été accueillis à la Maison du Loisir et du Sport, le quartier général de la grande majorité des fédérations sportives québécoises, pour la remise officielle des bourses. Chacune de ces bourses offre d’ailleurs beaucoup plus que son montant, puisqu’elle est accompagnée d’un accès à vie à tous les services de la Fondation Aléo.

In the presence of Patrick Charlebois, qui est conseiller principal en gestion de patrimoine et gestionnaire de portefeuille à la Banque Nationale et ultra-marathonien, les jeunes de la cohorte 2024 ont vu leurs accomplissements sportifs ainsi que leurs réussites académiques être mis en lumière. Cet honneur contribuera à les propulser vers un avenir brillant sur la scène sportive et ensuite, au-delà du sport.Plusieurs des 421 étudiant·e·s-athlètes appuyé.e.s par la Banque Nationale au fil des ans, se sont particulièrement illustrés sur la scène internationale, notamment Mikaël Kingsbury, triple médaillé olympique et multiple champion du monde, de même que plusieurs médaillés olympiques dont Jennifer Abel, Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard while Marianne St-Gelais, ainsi que le grand joueur de tennis Félix Auger-Aliassime, le cycliste entre autres gagnant d’une étape du Tour de France, Hugo Houle, et encore bien d’autres.

The Fondation Aléo and National Bank Invest in the Aspirations of 22 Young People

 

Montreal, March 19, 2024 – For its 32nd edition, the National Bank Bursary Program in partnership with the Fondation Aléo supported 22 student-athletes by awarding a total of $100,000 in bursaries and services.

The Maison du Loisir et du Sport, which houses the offices of many Quebec sports federations, welcomed these honorees representing 18 different sports for the official bursary ceremony. Each bursary is worth much more than its monetary amount, since it includes lifetime access to all the services offered by the Fondation Aléo.

In the presence of Patrick Charlebois, Senior Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager at National Bank, who is also an accomplished marathoner, the 2024 bursary recipients were commended for their athletic and academic achievements. This honour will help propel them to a brilliant future in the athletic world and beyond.

Many of the 421 student athletes who have been supported by National Bank over the years have achieved impressive international success, including Mikaël Kingsbury, a three-time Olympic medalist who won the freestyle skiing world cup multiple times, as well as several other Olympic medallists such as Jennifer Abel, Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard, Marianne St-Gelais, tennis star Félix Auger-Aliassime y ciclista Hugo Houle, who won a stage of the Tour de France.
