The Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence highlights
the journey of its 40 qualified fellows
for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games
Montreal, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 – The Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence would like to salute the perseverance, character and resilience of its 40 current and past bursary recipients who officially qualified as members of the Canadian Olympic Team for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games from February 2 to 20.
This list of 40 recipients includes 23 female and 17 male scholarship holders who are or have been supported by FAEQ's various scholarship programs and valued partners on one or more occasions over the years.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected us for nearly two years, the FAEQ managed to award as many scholarships in 2020 and 2021 as in the past. A total of $1.5 million was indeed granted to nearly 525 student-athletes from across Quebec, among Olympic, Paralympic, or RSEQ sports athletes.

About the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ)
Since its creation in 1985, the FAEQ has awarded no less than $19 million in bursaries, representing 6,525 individual bursaries to 3,300 different student-athletes.
