Montreal, October 29, 2024 – For the fourth time, the Trek Financial Coaching Gala can declare: mission accomplished! With nearly 200 people in attendance at its annual gala on October 28 in Laval, the event achieved its goal by raising 116,279 $ in net proceeds. These funds will support dozens of Quebec student-athletes as they pursue their goals in all areas of their lives.
A few weeks after the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, five athletes who competed on the majestic French sports venues were present at the evening event to share their experiences. They also took the opportunity to explain the major contribution of the support received from Coaching Financier Trek and the Aléo Foundation throughout their careers. Sophiane Méthot, Nathan Zsombor-Murray, Aurélie Rivard, Félix Dolci, and Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard were thus able to share the behind-the-scenes reality of the major Games, their personal impressions, and their gratitude during a quiz that was as playful as it was moving.
In addition to these five Paris 2024 Olympians and Paralympians, 22 athletes and sports personalities, including gala honorary president Guy Carbonneau, Geneviève Jeanson, Jennifer Abel, David Lemieux, and Diane Sauvé, were present to interact with the guests. The inspiring evening, featuring the legendary voice of Michel Lacroix, fostered rich encounters between athletes and business people, alongside silent and live auctions that contributed to the fundraising.

About the Patrice Bernier Foundation
The Patrice Bernier Foundation aims to directly help youth by allowing them to engage in physical activities within a safe and inspiring environment. Its goal is to give young people the chance to thrive through sport while having fun with the help of recreational activities. It hopes to inspire and motivate youth to maintain healthy lifestyle habits both mentally and physically. Most recently, it contributed to a field renovation for an elementary school in Verdun. Thanks to recent fundraising efforts such as the Gala Trek evening, we have transformed an abandoned and hazardous field into a new era of play and a legacy that will benefit the Verdun community for years to come. They also discussed the major contributions that Coaching Financier Trek and the Aléo Foundation, had during their careers. Sophiane Méthot, Nathan Zsombor-Murray, Aurélie Rivard and Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard noted their behind-the-scenes impressions of the major Games, their personal experiences and their gratitude in a quiz that was as entertaining as it was moving.
