TREK, financial services firm x Aléo Foundation: always supporting more!

April 24, 2025 | Scholarship award

Montreal, April 24, 2025 – The TREK Gala, held last October under the honorary chairmanship of Guy Carbonneau et réunissant plus de 200 personnes dont 20 personnalités sportives a permis d’offrir 77 000 $ en bourses et en services à 22 étudiant·e·s-athlètes.

This fourth edition of the TREK Scholarship Program awards within the Aléo Foundation confirms its significant year-over-year growth. Since the first scholarships were granted, the number of recipients has increased from 5 to 22, while the total amounts awarded have quadrupled, from $20,000 $to nearly $80,000 $ . This has a significant impact on Quebec student-athletes and, ultimately, on our society.

Having become a tradition, the fall gala, which leads to scholarships in the spring, highlights talented young people. In addition to financial support and lifelong services for recipients, it allows business people from the metropolitan area to discover them. By fostering rich and unexpected encounters, the alliance between the Fondation Aléo and TREK thus plays a complementary role in supporting student-athletes.

In their own words:

«This scholarship award ceremony is a special moment for me each year. It allows me to meet the young people we support and their families, for whom this support makes a significant difference. It's truly touching. And it's all made possible by the participants of our gala, who were, once again, exceptionally generous. I represent them, but a part of each of them is reflected in these scholarships.»

– Marc Bérubé, President of TREK

«At TREK, the entire team pitches in to support student-athletes! During the gala, all employees are involved to create the success that grows every year. This is a value that resonates with us at the Aléo Foundation! The team and family are at the heart of our actions, and it's together that we achieve our greatest successes. Thus, with TREK, we join forces to form a combined professional alliance for the benefit of Quebec's student-athletes.»

– Patricia Demers, Executive Director of the Aléo Foundation
