Montreal, June 16, 2020 – The Athletic Excellence Foundation (FAEQ) confirmed today the holding of the 4th edition of the Challenge 808 Bonneville, presented by Fenplast and Lowe’s Canada in collaboration with Samson Groupe Conseil, a member of the Lussier Dale Parizeau group. The cycling event, benefiting the FAEQ, will take place as planned on September 18 and 19 upcoming in Mont-Tremblant.

Moreover, thanks to the generosity of the partners and participants who contributed to the 2019 fundraising campaign, the FAEQ was able to award, through its partners, 90 000 $ into individual scholarships to 27 highly promising student-athletes during a live Facebook presentation.
This morning represented the second wave of scholarships while the three presenting sponsors, Bonneville Industries (66 000 $), Fenplast (14,000 $) and Lowe's Canada (10,000 $) were able to recognize and interact with the student-athletes they sponsor (see table below). Last October, a few weeks after the third edition of the Défi 808 Bonneville, the FAEQ took the opportunity to award the first round of scholarships. At that time, sixteen sponsors had awarded 78,000 $ in individual scholarships to 27 outstanding student-athletes.

The Défi 808 Bonneville will stand out again this year with its unique 404 km loop, featuring the Tremblant Resort as its central hub, where cyclists of all levels can take on a challenge ranging from 100 km to 808 km, solo or in teams of two or four, including the two very popular 115 km and 125 km loops to be ridden solo. Given the exceptional circumstances and social distancing rules, the organizers will do everything possible to ensure the safety and health of the participants.
