Montreal, May 6, 2026 – As part of its traditional spring cocktail reception, presented by Lussier, at the Auberge Saint-Gabriel, the Aléo Foundation brought together about 100 guests, including 18 loyal partners who attend the annual event, as well as 38 grantees who received a total of 155,000 $ in grants and services.
The donor partners participating in this festive cocktail reception were: Lussier, Le Blanc Family Foundation, Aquam, Cogeco Media, Gilles Chatel, Real Estate Fair, RNC Media, AlphaFixe Capital, Jean Samson, and Futur·es Leaders, in addition to the scholarships directly offered by the Aléo Foundation.
Additionally, three donors have reinvested in the program Give to the following, the alumni Christelle Doyon, the Gagnon family and Danny Desriveaux. This program of circular philanthropy initiated in 2023, it notably allows past scholarship recipients to give back to the current generation to perpetuate the major support offered by the Aléo Foundation.
Finally, four other donors chose the program instead. Get set! to offer scholarships, by raising funds through the Beneva Montreal Marathon last September. Dollarama as well as the Couture-Tremblay families, Chagnon and Desrochers were able to meet the scholarship holders for whom they ran the kilometers.
In their own words:
«As soon as we got to know the Aléo Foundation, the similarity in our values was obvious. The concrete role of this foundation is an investment in our society of tomorrow. The student-athletes supported are strong examples of determination, perseverance, resilience, and ambition—examples that inspire those around them, as well as all Quebecers who witness their journeys.»
– Caroline Lussier, Vice President of Continuous Improvement at Lussier
«At each of our twenty scholarship presentations throughout the year, we have the pleasant task of handing out checks and services! But to make this support a reality, partners are obviously essential. Every spring, we therefore have the pleasure of welcoming several of them gathered for a cocktail party, thus fostering meaningful encounters between donors and recipients, while providing an opportunity to highlight their essential contribution to the success of our mission.»
– Patricia Demers, Managing Director of the Aléo Foundation

About the Aléo Foundation
I'm sorry, but you have not provided any text to translate. Please provide the text you would like me to translate into English. The Aléo Foundation's mission is to maximize the full potential of as many outstanding student-athletes as possible, from all backgrounds, to generate significant and lasting impact. Established in 1985, it has awarded over $25 million in scholarships to more than 5,000 student-athletes from across Quebec. In addition to these scholarships, there is an essential component of lifelong services provided to all recipients during and after their athletic and academic journeys. To support these mentoring services, the Aléo Research Chair is now a vector of scientific results available to the entire sports community here.
The fundraising campaign Impact for Generations aims to raise six million dollars in three years to move closer to our grand vision: that student-athletes of excellence enrich society through their current and future leadership, both through their exceptional contributions and the inspiring examples they embody.
