MONTREAL – On the occasion of International Women's Day, CF Montreal announced on Wednesday a new partnership with the Aléo Foundation, formerly known as the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence.
As part of its ongoing commitment to the development of women’s soccer, CF Montréal will award four scholarships, totaling 10,000$, to young female soccer players in the province. The recipients will receive their scholarships at halftime during the May 6 match at Stade Saputo.

The Aléo Foundation is an organization that brings together stakeholders from various backgrounds, notably business, education, health, and sports. Its mission is twofold: to award bursaries to student-athletes to help them reach the highest peaks academically and athletically, and to support them in the fulfillment of other spheres of their lives, making them inspiring role models for Quebec society.
In addition to the scholarships, the Foundation will provide a support service for the female scholarship recipients. The recipients will be selected in collaboration with Soccer Québec’s National High Performance Centre (CNHP).
In the past, with the Fondation de l'athlète d'excellence du Québec, CF Montréal players Samuel Piette and Mathieu Choinière received one of these bursaries.

ABOUT CF MONTREAL
Founded in 1992 and having completed its inaugural season in 1993, CF Montréal is a professional soccer club that has been playing in MLS, the highest level in North America, since 2012. MONTREAL – As part of International Women’s Day efforts across the globe, CF Montréal announced on Wednesday a new partnership with the Aléo Foundation, formerly known as the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec.
As part of its ongoing commitment to the development of women’s soccer, CF Montréal will be awarding four scholarships, totaling $10,000, to young female soccer players across the province of Quebec. The recipients will receive their scholarships at halftime of the CF Montréal match scheduled for May 6 at Stade Saputo.
