Laval, November 4, 2025 – The fifth edition of the Trek Gala, held on November 3 in Laval, took on an Italian theme as the 200 guests immersed themselves in the Olympic spirit in anticipation of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Games. This spectacular benefit dinner served as a venue for memorable encounters between business leaders and 22 athletes, including the Chef de Mission for the upcoming Olympic Games, Jennifer Heil, and Olympic medalists Joannie Rochette and Alexandre Bilodeau. And by the end of the evening, the goal was achieved: 100,788 $ in net proceeds were raised.
After the official announcement of the profits late in the evening, a generous donor stepped forward to contribute an additional 2,000 $, bringing the total from 98,788 $ to 100,788 $!
Three months away from the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, five athletes who have experienced the behind-the-scenes reality of the Major Games have formed a panel to share their experiences. In addition to Jennifer Heil, Joannie Rochette, and Alexandre Bilodeau, Dominick Gauthier and Jacinthe Taillon revealed the other side of the coin of the world's biggest sporting gathering. Even the host, François-Olivier Roberge, communications advisor and Olympian from Turin and Vancouver, was part of the group and was able to both ask questions and share a few secrets!
The evening, under the honorary chairmanship of Sylvain Guimond, concluded with the tangible confirmation of its success by unveiling the event's profits.

About the Angelman Syndrome Foundation
Our mission is to raise funds for the Angelman Respite Center. The Foundation works in collaboration with the Québec Angelman Syndrome Society to support families, assist them following their child's diagnosis, and guide them toward the best resources.
The Angelman Association raises awareness among the public and the medical community and acts as a unifying link for Angelman families in Quebec.
