152,500 $ for 35 student-athletes in 2023
Montreal, November 23, 2023 – On September 15 and 16 last, the 7e The Défi 808 Bonneville was held in Mont-Tremblant, raising funds to award 152,500 $ in scholarships and services provided by 15 event sponsors or partners to 35 student-athletes. Since the first edition in 2017, more than one million dollars has been awarded in scholarships to some 400 recipients.
During the scholarship awards ceremony, which took place at the Maison du loisir et du sport du Québec, the presenting sponsors Fenplast (8000 $) and Rona (10,000 $), the major partners Bonneville (42,000 1Q-4Q) and Quebecor (10,000 $) and 11 other sponsors and partners had the opportunity to meet in person with the student-athletes they support.
This was the last edition of the Défi 808 Bonneville in its current form. The Aléo Foundation is now passing the torch to Industries Bonneville, which is taking over the event.

Established in 1985, the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence (FAEQ) has awarded over $20 million in scholarships to nearly 4,000 outstanding student-athletes from across Quebec. Over $1 Million in Scholarships Thanks to Seven Bonneville Challenges
$152,500 Awarded to 35 Student-Athletes in 2023
Montreal, November 23, 2023 – On September 15 and 16, participants in the seventh annual Bonneville 808 Challenge took to the streets of Mont-Tremblant to raise the funds needed to award $152,500 in scholarships and services to 35 student-athletes, presented by fifteen event sponsors and partners. Since the very first Challenge in 2017, more than one million dollars in scholarships have been awarded to approximately 400 recipients.
At the awards gala, which was held at the Maison du Loisir et du Sport du Québec, presenting sponsors Fenplast ($8,000) and Rona ($10,000), major partners Bonneville ($42,000) and Quebecor ($10,000), and eleven other sponsors and partners had the opportunity to award scholarships to the recipients and to meet their sponsored student-athletes in person.
This year’s event was the final Bonneville 808 Challenge to be held in its current form. The Aléo Foundation will now pass on the torch to Bonneville Industries, who will take over the event.
