Montreal, December 11, 2025 – A total of $11,000 $ in scholarships, 100% % from funds raised by Gymnastique Québec, Judo Québec, and Parasports Québec, was awarded as part of a special ceremony at the Maison du Loisir et du sport. This accomplishment is the result of the walking and rolling efforts of employees and friends from each of these federations who courageously participated in the various events of the Marathon Beneva de Montréal, as part of a team with the Aléo Foundation, last September.
The award ceremony, co-hosted by Olympic gymnast and Aléo Foundation scholarship recipient William Emard, was the scene of an emotional meeting between the awardees and the federation teams. Each and every one of them recognized their federation's exceptional commitment and presented them with this support.
Thus, two scholarships were awarded in gymnastics, two in judo, one in wheelchair basketball, and one in para-athletics. In addition to these scholarships, the Aléo Foundation offers each scholarship recipient lifelong support services.

«We are extremely proud of the growing enthusiasm of federations for our event with the Beneva Montreal Marathon. We went from 2 to 6 scholarships in one year and hope this number will continue to grow. It is both touching, inspiring, and energizing to see the federation teams, who already give their all their passion to their sport and their athletes daily, choose to run to offer additional scholarships. Join the party in 2026; the more of us there are, the more we will support Quebec's sports and student-athletes together!»

About the Aléo Foundation
The Aléo Foundation's mission is to maximize the full potential of as many outstanding student-athletes from all backgrounds as possible, in order to generate a significant and lasting impact. Created in 1985, it has awarded over $25 million in scholarships to more than 5,000 student-athletes from across Quebec. In addition to these scholarships, there is the essential component of services provided for life to all recipients during and after their athletic and academic careers. To support these coaching services, the Aléo Research Chair is now a vector for scientific results available to the entire local sports community.
The fundraising campaign Generations of Impact aims to raise six million dollars in three years to move closer to our grand vision: that student-athletes of excellence enrich society through their current and future leadership, both through their exceptional contributions and the inspiring examples they embody.
