The Foundation for Athletic Excellence congratulates and encourages its Olympic and Paralympic scholarship recipients!
Montreal, Thursday, March 3, 2022 – The Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) would like to congratulate its 41 scholarship holders at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games. Among them, 12 athletes climbed onto the podium and collected a total of 15 medals.
Beyond performance, the FAEQ cares about the well-being and overall personal development of its scholarship holders, which is why it wishes to reiterate its support by offering its support services to all of its recipients returning from China.
«The last two years have been filled with upheaval and adversity for the majority of our bursary recipients, and their experience at the Games was certainly affected by the pandemic. I am therefore in close communication with all those who participated in the Beijing Games to take the pulse of their general health. The goal is to speak with each of them about their diverse emotions, reiterate our pride regardless of the results obtained, and remind them of the services available to them at all times,» explained Sophie Brassard, career counselor and head of student-athlete services at the FAEQ.

Paralympic Games
The FAEQ also wishes to salute the resilience and perseverance of its 6 current and past scholarship holders taking part in the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games from March 4 to 13.
This list of six recipients includes two female scholarship holders and four male scholarship holders who are supported or have been supported by the various scholarship programs and valuable partners of the FAEQ on one or more occasions over the years.

About the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ)
Since its creation in 1985, the FAEQ has awarded no less than $19 million in bursaries, representing 6,525 individual bursaries to 3,300 different student-athletes.
