Montreal, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 – The Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Bianelle Legros to its permanent staff as the new Director of Marketing and Business Development.
Ms. Legros has held important strategic positions within the Canadian Olympic Committee and Tourisme Montréal, in addition to greatly contributing to the success of the 2017 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. Having served as President of Sprint Management Inc. and Director of the Bruny Surin Foundation, her background is highly relevant and aligned with the FAEQ's objectives and mission.

The FAEQ is entering its 35th year of existence and success, thanks to its personalized approach with its scholarship recipients and partners, its rigorous management, and its ability to adapt to an ever-changing reality. In 2020, it will award nearly 1 500 000 $ in individual grants to approximately 525 student-athletes from all over Quebec, in addition to offering them support services in terms of academic guidance, balancing sports and studies, mentorship, career transition, and internship opportunities.
Also, two events open to the public and benefiting the FAEQ will take place this year: The Maple of Tomorrow's Yesterday with Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, which will take place on Tuesday, April 7th at 11:00 AM at Gare Windsor (faeq.com) and the 4th edition of Challenge 808 Bonneville, cycling, corporate, and festive event that will be held this fall on September 18 and 19 in Mont-Tremblant (defi808bonneville.com). Summer will also be a very busy period for the FAEQ, as several members of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Team TOKYO 2020 have already been supported one or more times by the FAEQ.
